Need to Save the Girl Child in India

According to India’s 2011 Census, there are now 7 million more boys than 
girls aged 0 to 6 years and the gap is growing.The ratio of girls to boys has dropped to an all time low since records began. Today, the national figure has fallen to an alarming 914 girls for every 1,000 boys. In some states like Punjab that ratio is as low as 846 girls to 1,000 boys.

बेटी 

ना मिटा मुझे बाबुल मैं तेरा अंश हूँ,

ना बढ़ पायेगी तेरी पीढ़ी फिर भी तेरा वंश हूँ |

करुँगी तेरा नाम रोशन , सदैव दूंगी सहारा ,

आने दे इस संसार में ना कर ऐसे बेसहारा |

होती है बेटी ...बेटो से बढ़ कर,

सच करा है इसे हर बार उसने वक्त पर  ||

कैसा अंधकार ये छा गया है ,

मिटाने  लगे देवी को लोग है ...

माँ के सवरूप की होती थी जहाँ पूजा ,

घर -घर   सूना आज उस औज से है ...

आओ करे मिल प्रण आज ये हम ....

ना मिटायेंगे बेटी अब कभी हम ...

बेटी से ही रोशन घर बार सारा,

ये है वरदान एक उज्जवल सितारा ||
